Xmegle runs in your browser, so there’s nothing to install. For video chat, your browser needs permission to use your camera and microphone.
An up-to-date browser
Use a current mobile or desktop browser and open xmegle.video. There’s no app to download.
Allow camera and microphone
Before a video chat, Xmegle explains why it needs access, then your browser shows its own prompt. Choose Allow so she can see and hear you.
Blocked it by mistake?
Xmegle shows a short guide. Turn camera and microphone back on for xmegle.video in your browser’s site settings, then try again.
Stay in control on camera
During a video chat you can mute your microphone, turn your camera off, or switch cameras on your phone.
Text chat doesn’t need your camera or microphone.

How do I use Xmegle for the first time?
Tap Start Video Chat for a random match, or open Browse Women and pick a profile. For video, allow camera and microphone access when your browser asks, then say hello.
Do I have to choose who I video chat with?
No. With a random match, Xmegle picks for you, women first. If you’d rather choose, browse women’s profiles and call the person you like.
Can I start with text instead of video?
Yes. Send a message from a woman’s profile and find your conversations in Messages. You can switch to video whenever you’re both ready.
Why does Xmegle ask for camera and microphone access?
Video chat needs your camera and microphone so the other person can see and hear you. Xmegle explains this first, then your browser asks for permission. Text chat doesn’t need either.
What if I blocked my camera or microphone?
Turn camera and microphone access back on for xmegle.video in your browser’s site settings, then start the video chat again. Xmegle shows a short guide when access is blocked.
What if a random match isn’t clicking?
Use Next to meet someone new, or end the chat. You can start another match, go back to browsing or send a message whenever you like.
Is Xmegle free to use?
Xmegle is free to start, with no VIP membership required before your first chat. Some optional features inside the app are paid.
